Social Development Division
Under this division we are already and intend to launch quite number of strategic programs aimed at addressing the challenges affecting youth development and bottle necks standing in the way for youth transformation and prosperity
Our programs under this division include.
1) YOUTH MENTORSHIP
This program is aimed at mindset change of the youth to equip them with the right mental attitudes relevant for today and tomorrows success.
It’s running in secondary schools, tertiary institutions, ghettos and communities.
2) TALENT DEVELOPMENT
UYC appreciates the fact that there are so many talented youth in Uganda endowed differently and amazingly in different fields of sports, art, music etc. many are born, live and end up dying with this great potential which would be extremely beneficial if tapped .
In this regard therefore UYC has designed and developed a youth talent development program aimed at Identifying unique talents in youth across the country in rural and urban settings then embark on tapping, nurturing, developing and consolidating them through various training and, provision for opportunity for practice, exposure and marketing to enable them develop their talents to international standards.
Under this program UYC is in advanced stages of building the first ever youth talent development center dubbed. (AFRICA TALENT CENTRE) here in Kampala
The complex is to have enough space, room and facilities to provide various talent training programs
We are still in the process of generating reasonable funding from our friends and partners, supporters and well-wishers from all over the world to commence the construction of this complex.
3) LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
UYC is running a leadership training program for youth in business, communities, politics, churches, mosques, schools and educational institutions.
We have realized that the need for leadership skills is enormous in Uganda to drive social economic development.
All sectors require equipped people with leadership skills to drive their development agendas
In order to fill the big gap that exists in leadership training UYC has embarked on this mission to provide youth with leadership skills in order to enhance their capacities to influence their fellow youth to embrace development
4) LIFE SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Without skills youth cannot be able to create employment and wealth for themselves, this is therefore one of our pillars and core objectives and strategies of providing movement of youth from poverty to prosperity
Uganda runs a traditional educational system that emphasizes academics more than skills areason many youths have passed and completed the schhool system but are still unemployable because of lack of relevant skills that they can provide to the job market
In this regard UYC has come up with a comprehensive skills development program that will see us building vocational institutions in communities as well as partnering with schools to equip students with various skills.
This program shall have a very prominent presence in the ghettos and also rural communities where the drop out rates from schools are very high.
We intend to partner with a lot of stake holders to ensure this program is resounding success.
5) CHARITY AND DISASTER RESPONSE PROGRAMS
Uganda is a very disaster prone country that keeps witnessing a lot of occurrences of different types of disaster from landslide, fires, accidents to epidemics etc.
The level of disaster management preparedness in Uganda is considered to be on the lower and inefficient side due to lack of funding, equipment’s and skilled personnel
It’s in this regard that UYC has come up with this program to equip organize and make ready a strong team of youth who shall always work with other stakeholders in situations of disaster occurrences.
6) YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
This program is aimed at coordinating and linking Uganda youth to the global youth organizations in order to enable them create a network of exchanging their views and sharing experiences about the variously different strategies in tackling the challenges affecting them in development as well as leaning from each other’s innovative approaches to employment and wealth creation.
7) YOUTH IN DEVELOPMENT FUNDRIZERS PROGRAMS
Whereas many youth have appreciated the need to join hands and effort in order to create employment and wealth through formation of youth groups, they still experience the big challenge and huddles of lacking initial financing for their projects to enable them take off
UYC having identified this problem as a key hindrance to youth development has designed, developed and is implementing a youth in development fundraiser program through which youths with funding problems register with UYC and UYC sources for them funding partners for their projects.
8) UYC-YOUTH LOBBY PROGRAM
Under this program UYC Lobby’s for all available opportunities from various stakeholders that could be beneficial to youth transformation.
We also engage in negotiations for youth groups registered and recognized by us with various stakeholders to provide the youth with friendly terms of services that they may require.
· Tax reduction and waivers with URA and various authorities.
· Price reduction for purchases of assets and equipment for youth groups
· Better acquisition and repayment terms for loans from banks
· Job slots in government, civil society, corporate community local government, urban authorities etc.
· Lobbying for the government programs for youth
· Provision of youth with platform for airing their views and to amplify their voices

UYC Investment Development Division
This is the UYC investments, business and income projects division
We are running the following projects under this division.
1) YOUTH GAZZET
This is the premier youth publication in Uganda.
In this publication we carry articles about the issues that affect the youth in their quest to to create employment and wealth and highlight strategies on how they can navigate around these problems and transform themselves socially and economically.
We also highlight opportunities that exist for youth to tap and create jobs and how to do this. The publication provides opportunity for generating income through advertising sales and subscriptions.
Our strategy is to increase its presence in the public eye and position it as a very relevant platform for government, civil society, diplomatic and corporate advertising. This shall enable UYC to generate some additional revenue for projects financing.
2) UYC- POWER PROGRAM
Lack of power/energy is one of the leading challenges affecting development in Uganda. Hydro power is very expensive and therefore not very good for business besides its limited availability especially in rural Uganda.
Whereas this problem exists as it is, there is great potential to tap into in order to generate power to run development projects and also to sale to the consumers directly or to the national grid.
UYC has undertaken a survey and thorough study about this problem and has come up with amazing solutions leading to the establishment of UYC power program.
Under UYC power program we are in advanced stages 0f setting up solar power plants in all regions of Uganda to generate solar power to be sold to consumers directly and to the national grid.
These solar power stations shall also act as demonstration projects for training youth on energy development matters and how to tap this knowledge and put it to use in their communities in order to reduce the power shortages problem that is very prevalent while at the same time generating revenue.
We shall also introduce the movable solar projects in rural Uganda for powering agri-development. ie power for production, irrigation. pumping water, domestic powering etc.
3) UYC- SACCO
UYC is cognizant of the fact that encouraging youth to form groups is one of the ways through which they can put together their abilities and resources to fight poverty
In this regard UYC is in the very advanced stages of establishing the UYC – SACCO that is going to bring together youth across the country under one economic umbrella to put their resources together for investment and business development purposes.
4) UYC – AGRI-BUSINESS-PROGRAM
UYC shall engage in Agri-value addition projects by promoting ,production, storage, marketing processing, distribution and export of various agri-products.
We shall also engage in animal husbandry projects like goat rearing , pig rearing, poultry, bee keeping, dairy farming , fish farming etc.
This is aimed at generating revenue for UYC and also to serve as demonstration farms for youth to acquire relevant agricultural skills.
5) INTERNATIONAL YOUTH TOWER COMPLEX PROJECT
This is going to be the single biggest youth development project in the world.
It shall be a 54 storey TWIN TOWERS to be located in Kampala Uganda –East Africa.
It is estimated to cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
It shall house very modern satellite city amenities like Hospitals, apartments, shopping centers, offices, restaurants, hospitals etc.
It’s a very big income generating investment for Ugandan, African and global youth fraternity.
The artistic impression and architectural drawings are work in progress to be launched soon
6) UYC- INNOVATIONS HUB
UYC is engaged in the process of formalizing strong partnerships with various universities in Uganda and internationally plus other key stake holder to establish state of the art innovation hub to induce youth, creativity for innovative engagement for economic transformation and also to show case achievements of youth in innovations.
WE are already partnering with a number of youths who are currently showcasing their innovations at international university for East Africa
We are also working with the parliament of Uganda to support innovations programs initiated by groups under UYC umbrella.
7) UYC TOURISM PROGRAM
Uganda is one of the leading tourism destinations in the world because of our immense tourism potential.
This potential is very minimally taped leaving a great part of the opportunity unattended to.
Uganda youth circle has designed a strategy for promoting tourism in Uganda through efforts of the Uganda youth as a way of creating awareness and attracting global attention to Uganda’s tourism potential as well as creating revenue for youth projects.
8) UYC-MINERALS PROJECTS
Uganda is blessed with a lot of minerals that still lie idle because of the country’s inability to tap them. It’s important to note that big companies and individual mining entities are exploiting the youth especially in gold mines using them without proper skills and protective gear as well as paying them peanut for the job they do.
UYC –has come up with perfect program of empowering the youth to enhance their capacity to take the minerals development sector as a way of creating jobs and fighting poverty.
We shall also be training and equipping them with knowledge about their rights and better heath living practices while working in mining areas.
Under this program UYC shall intensify our efforts in the fight againist child labour that is present in the gold mining areas in rural Uganda
9) UYC EVENTS
This is one of the biggest income generating activities that we envision. We are planning to heavily invest in events management equipment for managing concerts, workshops, exibitions and conferences etc’.
10) UYC- TECHNOLOGY
This is our ICT services provision project.
We shall provide services such as
